When I was a little child, You were there for me

So I went on thru my life so happy and carefree

Whenever I was sick or hurt, Daddy would say a prayer

I knew that you would answer, You were always there.

Dont let me take your love for granted and live so selfishly

That I dont remember, Jesus, everything You've done for me

Just let the work you've started, grow deep inside of me

Till I become the vessel You knew that I could be.

Now that I am not a child, I've grown to maturity

Living on prayers of others, is just not enough for me

I've got to have that calm assurance that our love is pure

I give You all of me, Lord, just let our love be sure.
