I've been tagged

Tag you're it. Think fast!

Instructions: Each player of this game starts with 6 weird things about themselves. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state the rules clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says they are tagged in their comments and tell them to read your blog. No tagbacks.

So the six weird things about myself:

1.  I have eaten lamb's brains.  It was when I was little, and do not remember how they tasted, but definitely did not spit them out.  I think it was at an airport hotel, where we were laid over overnight, on our way to or from Israel.

2. I am married to a white African American.  (tee hee).  He is a South African by birth but is now a  U.S. citizen, so gets teased about it all the time.

3. I was raised in church from my earliest memory, and LOVED fried chicken, which was the staple Sunday afternoon fair, so my earliest words were, "Oh Dod, I just tilled myself" after falling off of a high staircase, and "Hallelujah, MEAT", thinking I would get the blessing out of the way, and reach for the "shicken".

4.  We had church in our house, in Durban, South Africa for a long while, and often, Mom would come in to find me playing church.  I would play the piano (which I learned from a young age, by ear), sing, and then would get up and preach away at the top of my lungs to the imaginary people, including laying hands on their heads and praying.   My little sister was often the one who had to be healed, or speak in tongues, or whatever I "prayed" for....LOL...We learn from example...things could have been worse!

5.  I lived in an orphanage called Tupelo Childrens Mansion, In Tupelo Mississippi for ten months while Mom and Dad travelled in the States in 1972.  My sister was quite happy, and got along just fine, but I was miserable, with separation anxiety,  knowing I was not an orphan, and could not understand all of the rules, which was never easy for me to grasp anywhere or any time.  I still think about all the rules they imposed on us, bordering on cruelty, but now realise that they are now a wonderful place and do a great job in taking in children who are abandoned or taken away by Child Welfare, and are often placed in good homes, or adopted.  But, I just could not handle that the rejection.

6. I was picked up by an angel when I was riding my bicycle one time.  Was riding along with some other young people, on a road filled with traffic, and very little space for your bikes to ride.  A car came from my left and would have knocked me over, but the boy behind me, witnessed my bike moving in the air, straight up and over to the right(the cars travel on the left over there) and I was out of harm's way.  I felt the movement, but it was so quick that I did not even think to marvel about it until later when it was explained to me.  I have seen and heard of many miracles.
